Our Partners

During the first four years, the school was set up and has mainly operated thanks to the financial support of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Auteuil International, but also thanks to the Guide du Routard, the Mornay Group, the Daniel Brottier Hotel School in Nantes, "France Volontaires",  the “Guilde Européenne du Raid", and private donors.

Friends of Sala Bai, Australia was formed in 2005 by three business men with interests in hotels and education. Since then the organization has raised funds and support Sala Bai Hotel and Restaurant School through its growing network. The students of the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School are a major contributor to the Friends fundraising activities. In the meantime the FOSBA family has grown to more than 150 individuals and businesses.
Touch Sala Baï (Singapore) www.touchsalabai.com


Based in Singapore, Touch Sala Baï is an NGO whose mission is to fight poverty and human trafficking in Cambodia by providing education and employment in the hospitality industry.  In pursuit of its mission, Touch Sala Baï provides a consistent funding source to and facilitate program partnerships for Sala Bai. Sam McGoun, its founder, competes on a regular basis in series of sports events (marathon and ironman) to encourage his network to support the school.

The Valrhona Foundation for the Taste supports programs that contribute to defend taste and the transfer of culinary know-how. The Foundation supports Sala Baï because the cooking skills are at the heart of the vocational training of the School and because the culinary techniques and the recipes taught are of a different note, mingling Khmer and western flavors.

A partner since 2007, the ELLE Foundation has sponsored the training of 10 girls of the 2007-2008 intake and will support 5 girls of the 2009-2010 intake.
The aim of the ELLE Foundation is to accompany the evolution and the role of women in society, thus promoting their emancipation through education, training and information.
Therefore the Sala Baï program fits perfectly in the foundation’s field of activity.
Fondation Chanel  

Created in May 2011, the Corporate Chanel Foundation supports innovative and of general interest projects with social, humanitarian, educational, vocational or health aspects, all having a sustainable impact on women's conditions of life.

The Chanel Foundation supports Sala Baï School by taking care of the training of 25 students of the 11th intake (2012-2013) and by financing development works of the program.
Nouveau Challenge pour le Cambodge - www.cambodge-nouveauchallenge.org

 Nouveau Challenge pour le Cambodge was founded by a Frenchman who has lived in Cambodia for many years and has supported many projects in the country. by mobilizing friends and acquaintances. This organization has supported Sala Baï since 2005.

Nouveau Challenge pour le Cambodge organizes on a yearly basis a fundraising dinner at the Sainte Anne Hotel and Restaurant School in St Nazaire, France.

A long-time partner  to Agir pour le Cambodge, the Guide du Routard has supported theto Sala Baï Hotel and Restaurant School since it was founded.

That Sala Baï should be mentioned in one of the most popular French guide books proves to be an excellent way of getting the project known to travelers concerned by sustainable tourism.

Through its program, PATA Foundation wants to contribute to the growth and development of travel and tourism in Asia Pacific through the protection of the environment, the conservation of cultural heritage and support for education.

Organisations supporting local projects to work with foreign volunteers, they support NGOs in the dispatch procedures of human resources.

The missions concerning Sala Baï are for minimum one year and are intended to give technical help and capacity building to the Khmer team.
Artisans d'Angkor - www.artisansdangkor.com

Artisans Angkor is a semi-public company specializing in silk fabrics and garments, stone and wood carving, lacquer ware, polychrome, silver-plating and silk painting, which was originally created to help young Cambodian people find work. As the offshoot of an educational project aiming at providing professional skills to rural communities with little schooling, Artisans Angkor has maintained its actions in education by developing its own training program.

Artisans Angkor supports Sala Baï by offering silk scarves and taking care of the cut, pattern and sewing of the new uniforms for the restaurant and front office Sala Baï students of the 11th intake.

 

Bodia Nature - bodia-nature.com

Bodia Nature with its Eco-Lab produces 100% all natural products working directly with local farmers in accordance with fair trade values to ensure the country's best products. In accordance with its mission and to support Sala Baï, Bodia Nature kindly provides the school with home-made soaps for the training Hotel guests.

Danièle Marcovici-Raja Foundation -www.fondation-raja-marcovici.com

The RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation supports actions towards women leading to their social, economic and vocational insertion through education and training. The job opportunities offered to young ladies trained at Sala Baï have conducted the Raja Foundation, already a partner of the program in 2008, to support the vocational training of five of them.

Saint Louis of Gonzague School in Paris together with the Alumni association, have renewed their support to Sala Baï in 2011-2012 within the benefits of the “Missionary Days”, their yearly Charity. The  Franklin  Alumni association has been a historical partner of the NGO  Agir pour le Cambodge   ever since its creation in 1984 in the refugee camps at the Thaï border. (APLC  runs the Sala Baï  program)
