Our Partners

During the first four years, the school was set up and has mainly operated thanks to the financial support of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Auteuil International, but also thanks to the Guide du Routard, the Mornay Group, the Daniel Brottier Hotel School in Nantes, "France Volontaires",  the “Guilde Européenne du Raid", and private donors.

Since then, our network of partners has been enlarged and diversified including a number of private foundations and sponsors.

Our Financial Partners

Angkor W Group owns and manages 11 restaurants in Siem Reap, such as Champey, Chez M. Paul, Banana Leaf, The Grey Khmer Grill… Since 2013, the Angkor W Group supports Sala Bai by generously sponsoring part of the technical uniforms of the Sala Bai students.
For the 14th intake, 2015-16, it is more than 400 uniforms that their workshop will make for the students, renewing the whole set of technical uniforms for four sections (Reception, Restaurant, Housekeeping and Beauty Therapy).

API Restauration Group 

API Restauration Group is a catering company, family owned and independent. Agir pour le Cambodge has just signed a partnership with them to support Sala Bai Hotel School. This partnership is dedicated to support Sala Bai training and will take in charge four students for five years. « We want to make sure that this moment brings well-being and friendliness. It is the objective that all our team at API Restauration feels like », says the group.
One hundred aid 

One Hundred Aid, a German enterprise, has chosen to support APLC, by giving each month part of its benefit to Sala Baï.

This enterprise has the ambition to offer a selection of high quality products, meeting social and environmental responsibility. One Hundred Aid defines itself as being a friend for its customers, its employees, the citizens of the whole world and the environment. One of its best-seller products is the extra-pure organic certified Matcha Tea powder.

This support is the result of an enterprise policy that dubs paramount its social commitment.
Nouveau Challenge pour le Cambodge -

Fundraising dinner in Cambon, Loire Atlantique, France

Nouveau Challenge pour le Cambodge was founded by a Frenchman who has lived in Cambodia for many years and has supported many projects in the country. by mobilizing friends and acquaintances. This organization has supported Sala Baï since 2005.

Nouveau Challenge pour le Cambodge organizes on a yearly basis a fundraising dinner. This year again, in partnership with Sainte Anne Hotel School of Saint Nazaire, France and other local supports, the now traditional « diner gastronomique pourSala Baï » has provided two full scholarships for the school students.

Heartful thanks for this 9th edition proving a precious loyalty to our program, led by Chef Jacques Hybert, helped by students and trainers of Sainte Anne School. During the dinner, the 160 guests could admire traditional and modern Khmer dances, so evocative and in perfect harmony with the choice of the menu.

Heritage Suites Hotel -

The Heritage Suites Hotel is an upscale boutique retreat in Siem Reap and the only Relais & Châteaux in Cambodia. Its commitment to support Sala Baï in educating underpriveleged young Cambodians in the hospitality industry drives the hotel’s active training and hiring of the students as well as its fundraising events, awareness campaigns and in encouraging guests to give back to the community by participating in any of Sala Baï’s activities.
"This year again we has renewed the operation « offer a bicycle or a school bag to Sala Bai students » with Heritage Suites Hotel."

Friends of Sala Baï Network -

Friends of Sala Bai, Australia was formed in 2005 by three business men with interests in hotels and education. Since then the organization has raised funds and support Sala Bai Hotel and Restaurant School through its growing network. The students of the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School are a major contributor to the Friends fundraising activities. In the meantime the FOSBA family has grown to more than 150 individuals and businesses.
Touch Sala Baï (Singapore)

Based in Singapore, Touch Sala Baï is an NGO whose mission is to fight poverty and human trafficking in Cambodia by providing education and employment in the hospitality industry.  In pursuit of its mission, Touch Sala Baï provides a consistent funding source to and facilitate program partnerships for Sala Bai. Sam McGoun, its founder, competes on a regular basis in series of sports events (marathon and ironman) to encourage his network to support the school.
PATA Foundation -

Through its program, PATA Foundation wants to contribute to the growth and development of travel and tourism in Asia Pacific through the protection of the environment, the conservation of cultural heritage and support for education.

In September 2013, PATA Foundation has renewed its support to Sala Baï by taking care of the training of 9 students from the 12th Intake (2013-2014). In 2012-2013, it already supported 15 students.

The Sisley Foundation

In November 2013, the Sisley foundation decided to support the development of Sala Baï by subsiding Agir pour le Cambodge for the purchase of the Wat Svay building, by supporting the future students of the “Beauty Therapy” training, and by helping Agir pour le Cambodge in the educational definition of this curriculum.

Bodia Nature -

Bodia Nature with its Eco-Lab produces 100% all natural products working directly with local farmers in accordance with fair trade values to ensure the country's best products. In accordance with its mission and to support Sala Baï, Bodia Nature kindly provides the school with home-made soaps, shampoos, and shower gels for the training Hotel guests.

Fondation Chanel

Created in May 2011, the Corporate Chanel Foundation supports innovative and of general interest projects with social, humanitarian, educational, vocational or health aspects, all having a sustainable impact on women's conditions of life.

In August 2013, The Chanel Foundation has renewed its support to Sala Baï School by taking care of the training of 15 female students of the 12th intake (2013-2014). It already supported 25 female students in 2012-2013.

McKinsey for Children

The McKinsey for Children charity was set up to help children in need to enjoy a better life by giving them a sheltered childhood and guiding them along the path to adulthood. One important contribution to meeting this goal is providing support for school education and vocational training to improve the children's future prospects.

McKinsey for Children supports the full training year, including food, accommodation, school supplies and healthcare, of 9 students over 100 from the current 12th Intake.

France Volontaires and the Guilde Européenne du Raid

Organisations supporting local projects to work with foreign volunteers, they support NGOs in the dispatch procedures of human resources.

The missions concerning Sala Baï are for minimum one year and are intended to give technical help and capacity building to the Khmer team.
Le Guide du Routard -

A long-time partner  to Agir pour le Cambodge, the Guide du Routard has supported theto Sala Baï Hotel and Restaurant School since it was founded.

That Sala Baï should be mentioned in one of the most popular French guide books proves to be an excellent way of getting the project known to travelers concerned by sustainable tourism.
Krama Krama

Krama Krama is an online boutique selling karmas exclusively produced by the NGO Proleung Khmer in their workshop located near Siem Reap. Krama Krama has designed a special karma in the colors of Sala Bai and donates 5€ to Sala Baï for every product that they sell online!

Fullerton Hotels and the kitchen suppliers Sia Huat & Lau Choy Seng in Singapore

They donated substantial Kitchen equipment to the school last January 2014.

Danièle Marcovici-Raja Foundation

The RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation supports actions towards women leading to their social, economic and vocational insertion through education and training. The job opportunities offered to young ladies trained at Sala Baï have conducted the Raja Foundation, already a partner of the program in 2008, to support the vocational training of five of them.
Franklin - Saint Louis de Gonzague -

Saint Louis of Gonzague School in Paris together with the Alumni association, have renewed their support to Sala Baï in 2011-2012 within the benefits of the “Missionary Days”, their yearly Charity. The  Franklin  Alumni association has been a historical partner of the NGO  Agir pour le Cambodge   ever since its creation in 1984 in the refugee camps at the Thaï border. (APLC  runs the Sala Baï  program)
