It has been a real privilege to contribute to the successful journey of the Sala Baï Hotel & Restaurant School. Seeing the ways in which the personal engagement and unwavering dedication of so many people have made this project grow from a small guesthouse into a well equipped, professional training school for deserving young Cambodians has been particularly inspirational.
At the opening of the new school, I was impressed by the design and the quality of the fit-out, but also with the students, who seem to have gained in confidence now that they call such a well-presented, modern school their home. There is no doubt that the opening of the new buildings represents not only a milestone in the project, but also a renewed commitment to the future from everyone involved. The ‘Friends of Sala Baï, Australia’ accept this commitment whole heartedly, and we will be honoured to maintain our support to the school in the years to come.
